In a rather comedic turn of events, Mexico has decided that a wall along the Mexican border is a fantastic idea. Illegal immigration is indeed a very serious problem and needs to be curbed. Immigrants who cannot find reputable work often turn to a life of crime to pay the bills, victimizing the country they crossed into. Mexicans now agree that a border wall is not only good, but necessary. The only problem is, they don’t think it should cut off Mexico. That’s right- Mexico and America should remain neighbors with a border in name more than purpose. A wall on Mexico’ southern border, however, is a really, really tremendous idea.
Mexicans seem to be in strong favor of a border wall between Mexico and the rest of South America. It turns out that people fleeing poor living conditions or violence in Central American countries are flooding Mexico’s southern border. Many have the United States in mind as their final destination, but must cross Mexico illegally before crossing into the US illegally. It turns out that Mexicans don’t actually like immigrants coming into their communities and taking jobs or committing crimes.
Mexico accuses the US of deporting many Central American illegal immigrants into Mexico where local authorities lack the funds to deport them further south to their home countries. So it seems Trump may have a winning idea after all and Mexico may be on board to help. Perhaps if Donald switched from building a wall between us and Mexico to invading and taking over Mexico, then building a wall on that southern border he might be able to get the Latino vote he so desperately needs. Okay, maybe not the Latino vote, but the Mexican vote, and let’s be honest- he doesn’t know the difference.
After all, we all know the real troublemakers are those pesky people fleeing starvation in socialist Venezuela or cartels in Colombia. Mexico has a real problem and they may need our help, but I don’t want to be the one to tell them that Trumpophants think ALL of South America is Mexico and that anyone brown takes siesta and answers to Jose. Perhaps we just need to shift our paradigm a little and instead of building the great wall of ‘Murica, we should annex Mexico (again) and build the great wall of Mexi-Murica. This really is a great idea, it would bring tremendous assets to the country. I mean how can we say no to Cancun?
