Obama on Congress: “They Don’t Do Anything Except Block Me And Call Me Names”

Shares 532

President Obama gave a speech where he whined about not getting congressional support from Congress on raising the minimum wage.

“They don’t do anything. Except block me. And call me names. It can’t be that much fun. It would be so much more fun if they said, let’s do something together. If they were more interested in growing the economy for you and the issues that you are talking about instead of trying to mess with me, we would be doing a lot better. That what’s make this country great, when we work together. That is the American way.”

Share the credit for a bankrupt philosophy? It is almost like he is lying.

Welcome to the world of Bush. They made fun of %him all the time, and didn’t want to work with him. You didn’t hear him crying about it.

As for Congress, here’s how you make them work together. As President, you tell them that you will veto every bill besides budget bills that come across your desk unless it is passed by 75% of the House and Senate, then you stick to it. Congress is responsible for creating the law. If they can’t work together to pass a law, then the public should be furious at them for not doing their job.

Sure it would probably result in very few laws being created, but I would rather Congress create fewer, well-thought out bills that become laws in a year instead of a ton of ill-advised laws.

Sure. As with the ACA, written behind closed doors. Kumbaya 😛

He’s right. Everyone else is wrong. Ok?

Oh you poor baby, welcome to the real world. When politicians (or Presidents) start pissing and moaning about something that limits them, (such as some trying to get rid of the 1st and 2nd amendments), then you know there was a good reason why America’s founding Forefathers put that in the Constitution to begin with. Ironically enough, even Churchill lamented the Constitutional restraints imposed on FDR in the 40’s, so this is nothing new. Obama sounds like nothing more than a spoiled brat who suddenly did not get his way like he is accustomed to. What is that old saying? “This is the smallest record player in the world, and it is playing ‘my heart bleeds for you’ “

Says the man that refuses to negotiate. SMH, blame blame blame…he NEVER takes ownership of his job.
