Earlier this evening, President Trump – who is already quite infamous for his tweets, warned the city of Chicago that if nothing is done about the amount of shootings in 2017 he will take action.
If Chicago doesn’t fix the horrible “carnage” going on, 228 shootings in 2017 with 42 killings (up 24% from 2016), I will send in the Feds!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 25, 2017
President Trump did not follow up his tweet with any specific solutions on how Chicago should solve the issue of gun violence, but has previously advocated for ‘Stop-and-Frisk,’ a policy that was previously ruled unconstitutional in 2013 for cities in the past.
