BREAKING: Bomb Threat at White House Marks Third Security Scare in Just Over A Week

At around 11:05pm on Saturday, Secret Service responded to what would be the third major security scare in just over a week.

An unidentified male drove up to a White House security check point and told the guard he had a bomb in his vehicle. The situation took about four hours to de-escalate. A bomb robot was used to carefully remove items from the vehicle one at a time. After that, a bomb technician in a full bomb suit carefully combed through the items. It is not clear at this time if any explosive devices were found.

The Secret Service issued a statement saying they have increased their security posture but made no mention of the incident.

President Donald Trump was not on the premises and he was at his Florida vacation resort Mar-a-Lago.
